I have been terrified of change at times. Have you?

Woo hoo!  I would like to thank everyone that participated in last week’s drawing for a free bottle of my product Spirit Mist.  That was so much fun!  The lucky winner is:

Trisha Townsend

Congratulations Trisha!!

Today’s Inspire Me Friday interview is with best selling author and longevity expert, Katrina Mayer.  She has written two books, The Mustard Seed Way and Wholarian Vision.  I recommend them both.

In this interview Katrina talks about leaving her incredible life in NYC in order to start a new incredible life in the country.  And here’s the kicker.  Katrina didn’t leave her old life because she needed a change or because she was chasing after a dream.  She simply decided to just embrace change and live a new adventure.

I feel that this is so very important to share with you as I know that most of us are simply terrified of change.  In fact, we often won’t make a change in our lives unless we are unhappy and even then it rarely happens.

When-we-are-fullyWe get comfortable.

We even get comfortable with our discomfort.

Some of us are just that terrified of change.

We resist it.

I’m going to be the first to raise my hand and openly admit that there have been many times that I have resisted change.  I ran from it.  I allowed it to actually be forced on me even when I knew it was for my own good.  Even though I desperately wanted change I couldn’t even open myself to it at times.

Katrina’s view on change is both refreshing and eye opening.  Truly she is an excellent example of living fully in the present moment.  When we are fully present change is neither good nor bad.  Change just is and we can choose to flow with ease through our lives.  Of course we can also choose not to flow and resist.  After listening to Katrina’s heart felt love of her old life and equal love for her new life gives us much to ponder.  Or at least it does me.

I promise to never look at a life change in the same way again.

Before watching the video I must confess of a slight mishap that occurred during this interview.  My phone rang!  I wanted to die.  I usually take my land line off the hook when I video and completely forgot to do it this time.  Katrina kept going like a champ.  I’m sooo sorry about my goof Katrina.  Thank you for hanging in there with me!

Change gets more frightening as I get older. I am settled into the familiar and It’s what I like. When I was younger, I liked change as long as it included my loved ones. Time can often change things, so change becomes harder.

Yes, sometimes change can be hard. I’m still working at going with the flow.

Thank you for this Rhonda! It is always good to be reminded of the possibility of each moment. It is powerful to let what you and Katrina said resonate. Thanks again!

I recently embraced change…I moved across the US to a state I had never even visited. I arrived with no pre-arranged housing and no car. I did have a job lined up, that I interviewed for via Skype! I hadn’t met anyone there in person, and I arrived for my 1st day in my Penske truck. ( I returned it after work that day after leaving a car dealership with a new to me used car)
I have made new friends here and I have seen amazing new sights. My eyes are wide-eyed like a child. It’s sensory over load and I love it! I’m 45 yrs old and I feel young, and the world is new and blinding me with its brightness.
True love brought me the courage to make this life change.
To leap.
Leap!
Please!
